I have only done cubensis before and these mushrooms looked completely different and were much smaller. At this point in my life I had done mushrooms 3 times before this trip, dosed between 3.5g - 4.2g. There is nothing I have ever taken that has brought me to these little mushrooms took me to.
They started coming on hard as we smoked another blunt only 15 minutes in. The bushes morphed into a swirly creamlike texture. The bricks on the side of my building were making subtle shapes and eventually morphed into a brick Pacman. I start feeling nauseous and head to my room.
After only a few minutes of staring into my garbage can I start puking. I felt like I was vomiting molten gold while dying from an overdose. My friends told my girlfriend that I was not feeling well and she came up to check on me. After a while my stomach calmed down and I did not feel like I was dying anymore. She had plans to go out and I told her to go because I was going to try to sleep it off. For some reason she was irritating me and I just wanted to be alone.
On my ceiling I had a spiral of Christmas lights. The corners of the ceiling were violently spinning and dancing. There was this sensation of my dresser on the other side of my room expanding and crushing me. Since the open eye visuals were so intense I decided to close my eyes.
It was all black and I was convinced that I was going to die again. This vacuum cleaner-like high pitch noise sucked the soul out of my body. Suddenly everything was white and I entered this 2 dimensional realm. I was a human-like creature made out of purple, orange and yellow spaghetti-like strands. My hair was long and my eyes took up about half of my face.

I remember coming to when I saw a white blowfish swimming in circles around my room, which is spinning like a carousel at this point. It turns out that the fish was my fire alarm. My girlfriend came in to check on me along with my friend Biggie. Biggie had eaten a whole eighth and was not tripping as hard. We ended up playing some Super Mario World, which was amazing in itself. We played the first set of levels which were on Yoshi’s Island and made it to the Doughnut Plains. By this time the mushrooms had started to fade.
For many years I thought it was a bad trip, but now that I look back and reflect it was a fantastic experience. It taught me how to truly respect hallucinogens. My big mistake was treating mushrooms like party drugs and now I plan out all of my trips months in advance. It also was very humbling to lose control. Ever since that experience I have been a lot less cocky and more mellow. It may have been God’s little way of putting some scare into me at an age where I needed it.
