After having tried a good range of drugs both legal and illegal (Cannabis, ecstasy, speed, ketamine, salvia, mephedrone, cocaine, Shrooms and DXM) I was told by a friend about a rarer legal psychedelic drug known as LSA. I was instantly fascinated, and amazed at the price of these seeds (roughly £9 for 300) so two companions and I set a date for an LSA consumption. Up till now I have tried LSA a good number of times.

I have found the best way to consume these little seeds is to crush them and ingest them. Now the taste of these buggers is awful, fortunately there is a useful method which I like to use. Take the seeds (approx. 3 or 4 at a time) and inset them into a folded piece of card, place this on a hard surface (a brick or pavement, or a sturdy table) and proceed to hammer (with a brick or a hammer) on the card. Don’t hammer too hard or you’ll rip the card, and not to soft or the seeds won’t break. After all the seeds have been smashed down to a clumpy powdery state, use a metal grinder to help with the last bits, it’s time to wrap them in a rizla and swallow.

I will here list my experiences and their lengths, how long my pupils were large the next day, and how long I felt ‘revelationary’ for.

1st experience (8 seeds), Length – from 8pm till I went to sleep at around 1 or 2 am, pupils were not large the next morning, felt good (in a normalish way) for the next 2 days

2nd experience (15 seeds and at least a month after the first experience), Length – from 8pm until I went to sleep around 3 or 4 am, felt drained the next day, couldn’t get up until 1 pm. But upon waking felt enlightened, refreshed, and extremely open to music and art for 2 days.

3rd experience (14 seeds and about 2 weeks after the second experience), Length – from 6pm until about 2 am, I slept at about 4 am, pupils were fine after I’d walked outside for an hour at about 9 or 10 in the morning. Felt normal the next day.

4th experience (17 seeds and about 4 weeks after the third experience), Length – from 9pm until 7am (when my closed eye visuals finally stopped and I was able to sleep), pupils were fine by 2pm the next day, but felt the LSA effect for all of the next day, then felt revelationary for the next 2 days.

5th experience (12 seeds and over a month after the fourth experience), Length – from 8:30 pm until an unknown time in the morning (I assume about 4 or 5am), felt amazing for the next day and half, pupils were fine when I awoke at about 2 pm

6th experience (4 seeds and 2 weeks after the 5th experience), Length – about 6 hours, felt normal by the end of the whole experience which was within the same day of taking.

My 15 Seed Experience: The only real reason I am choosing to talk about this experience over the other 5 is because it was my first LSA encounter whereby a totally unexpected and full blown trip consumed me. My previous try with 8 seeds resulted in slightly odd vision, but no real hallucinations, apart from that the 8 seed experience was like a ‘natural’ form of ecstasy. Full of a unique euphoria and great body/mind pleasure (I was smiling throughout).

One delightful summer's evening we (myself and two others) retired to a comfortable location. By comfortable I mean, under a roof, not cold, seats, tables etc. We arrived at our location at about 7:30, and we came equipped with drinking water and orange juice (bottled), a crisp variety pack, and £30 worth of cannabis. We quickly began preparing the LSA which took us about 20 mins to half an hour (the three of us were going to do 15 seeds each). At 8 o'clock, the bombs (about 7 crushed seeds per mini skin) were ready and we consumed them with great enthusiasm, after this we rolled and smoked a joint.

It took about 15 to 20 minutes for the first signs of effects to begin, but we couldn’t be sure if it was just excitement and anticipation, or even just the weed. The night continued, and for about an hour and a half we stayed in our location. During this time we all got an increased sense of euphoria every now and then, and by about 45 minutes in we were all feeling the waves. It's very difficult to tell sober waves from trippy waves, as by this point the full psychedelic qualities of the drug have taken over. Similarities to this effect can be found in liberty caps.

After an hour and a half in the comfy location, and after smoking 2 or 3 joints, we decided to test the drug by going for a walk. The plan was, a 2 to 3 minute walk to another good, green, tree-filled location, where we’d sit and rest and smoke some more to keep away the nausea, and compliment the high. However, plans freshly hatched often fall from the nest, and as soon as we left the safe location and moved onto the road we spotted something unusual about 8 or 9 houses down. Now by this stage we couldn’t be sure what it was, up to now all I’d had we’re slight closed eye visuals and this encounter acted as a ‘drop point’ for my trip, and plunged me into ego death and severe open eye visuals.

What was actually at the end of the road was a man working on a drain, but for myself we approached, the image of him shifted, it darted from one side of the road to the other. But more than this, my mind was not agreeing with me, my logical centre had been degraded somewhat, and my mind wouldn’t let me reason that it wasn’t a swiftly moving blur. As we approached one of my two companions began to worry, and for me the person morphed into a huge white dog. I was certain I was about to die. Thanks to the unpredictable nature of LSA, I accepted the possibility I could die (ego death) and proceeded, while assuring my friend (who thought a murder was being committed) that it was okay.

As we got close to the thing we realised it was a man, it was also at this point that we came down from a wave and realised that we had been whispering and pointing fearfully at him the whole way up the road. I remember him looking questioningly at us. Anyway, the encounter was over and we proceeded to the new spot. And just in time, as we sat down and sparked up another wave began. I laid myself down on the dry grass and closed my eyes, and as I did mighty tree roots came up from the ground and enveloped me, they sucked me under the ground (but in a comfortable way) and suddenly I felt ‘at one’ with the trees.

After my tree wave was over, I knew I had about 2 or 3 minutes to consult my other companion about it, before heading back into the trip world for another ride. On consultation I found that he had the same experience with the roots, and the earth sucking him in for some giant Gaia hug. The trip outside continued in this manner with waves getting gradually more and more intense, and as they did so we lost sense of time, physicality and reality.

We returned then to the safe indoors location, by now we must have been 2 to 3 hours into the trip and I was already considering it the one of the most mind-blowing experiences of my life. As usual we rolled a joint (which was now quite a difficult task and took about 10 minutes each time) and sat in the garden to smoke it. At this stage I remember feeling, and discussing the feeling of intense all over body pleasure waves, which presented themselves at a different wave rate to the psychedelic (visual) waves. However, I was at this point (when not in the middle of a wave) still able to read and speak normally.

We approached the 4 hour mark, and one my companions became nauseous. My friend said puking realised his ‘bad energies’ and helped to propel his trip to an even greater and more enjoyable level. We reached the 4 hour point, and from here we spent another 4 hours, that are more a jumble of trip thoughts and bunches of unsure events to me, in the peak, and smoking. During this I remember getting severe sound visuals, intense closed eye visuals, confusing open eye visuals and ‘room telepathy’.

At some point after the peak (during the comedown) we all collapsed on the sofas and chairs and slept. As the intense visuals and waves (which were very prominent even for the comedown) carried on, they dragged us eventually into sleep. Dreams were vivid and beautiful, but I can’t remember much of them, in the morning all 3 of us in the morning reported that during or just before sleep we saw out of each other’s eyes. We had two morning joints, and still feeling slightly lysergic (LSA-ish) and very satisfied with the experience, my companions set off home. I personally was quite physically and mentally exhausted, so I went to bed until 1, and woke up hungry, refreshed and most of all enlightened.
